The Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra is a well-planned spiritual journey that takes you to an elevation of 6191 mtr in Dharchula district. It would involve not just a road trip but also a mini-trek to Parvati Sarovar from where you will be able to see Adi Kailash, one of the oldest holy places for Lord Shiva. Each place we visit in this holy place holds mythological significance. Adi Kailash is one of the Panch Kailash and is also popularly known as ‘Chota kailash’ due to its resemblance to Kailash Mansarovar, Lord Shiva’s abode. It is also known as the place where Lord Shiva and Parvati Mata met for the first time. Similarly, the mountain, Om Parvat has earned its name due to the presence of the “?” symbol imprinted on it. This site holds religious significance as it was visited by Ravana, the great king of Lanka, who was a devotee of Lord Shiva.
